If you are receiving the pictured error when attempting to save in EnergyGauge USA, it is likely that the default saving location for Documents in Windows is set to something other than the default given at the setup of the operating system. The steps in this solution article will provide a solution to the error. 

  1. Please download the attached .zip compressed folder. Once it is on your computer, right click it and select Extract All. 
  2. Once the folder is extracted, a new window will appear showing the extracted files. Double click the file labeled EGUSA Saving Error Fix.bat and wait for the Command Prompt window to close.
  3. Once the window has closed, navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\EnergyGaugeUSA and double click the file labeled Copy Files.bat
  4. Once the process has completed, open the EnergyGauge USA software and save a file, verifying the fix has worked.
